Heidi and Robin's Wedding

I first met Heidi and her mum at a Wedding Fair in Leicester.  She described her wedding and was such great fun that I really wanted to share her and Robin's wedding.  I got the phone call about the consultation on the Monday evening and was booked at the consultation the following Thursday.  Apparently Heidi had left the Wedding Fair and rang Robin to tell him she had found the Photographer.

The Lovely Couple

This was the start of a fabulous friendship.  The pre-wedding shoot, normally taking 2 hours, took 7 because they are such a lovely couple, absolutely perfect for each other.  Can I say that this followed for their Wedding Day as well.  I saw them both without each other for the first time, Heidi at the Hair Dresser and Robin at his Parents.  They both seemed a little lost, especially Robin and only came to life as the met at the Church.

Mind you Heidi was late, I don't mean fashionably late I mean 40 minutes late!

Her Mum struggled lacing up the back - I know a certain photographer who had to fasten the poppers on the dress first.

There were a couple of things that occurred during the wedding that I knew about but was sworn to secrecy.  The first was their choice of Wedding Car.  No Bentley, Morse type Jaguar but a bright Red Route Master Bus (Robin is a Bus Driver and it's how he and Heidi met).

Heidi arrived in style, the bus just making it through the gates of Louth Church.  She was met with by a panicky  Best Man (a lovely guy called Foz) and a Highland Piper.  Are they Scottish?  No neither of them have any Scottish in their genes but they wanted a Highland Piper.  He piped Heidi into church, them both out and both into their Wedding Breakfast.

Their families are both fantastic and made me feel welcome even though I was there to work.  We did get some fantastic shots even of Hannah the Bridesmaid who didn't like her photograph taking but suspiciously appeared in loads of photographs.

I have sat with Heidi and Robin again today picking the images for their album.  They have picked an Orange Leather Queensberry album with black pages and an Ivory inlay.  This matches the colour of their wedding.  The one colour they are missing is the Red of the Routemaster bus.

I will be sorry when Heidi and Robin have their albums and images because I wont have an excuse to spend time in their company.
