Contemporary wedding shoot

We like to make our wedding shoots a little bit different, so last weekend we took out Sarah, a fantastic model, to do a shoot that added a bit of spice to a wedding shoot. We aimed for a little bit fashion, a little bit sixties Twiggy, but most of all, a little bit of fun!

Me and Kim had dragged Paul shopping for contemporary style wedding dresses and accessories a few days before and we managed to find fabulous vintage dresses at Cow, in Nottingham. Throw in some coloured flowers, bright scarves and even some leather, and we were ready to get started.

Studio work in the morning, where Sarah embodied the sixties, wearing a gorgeous sixties style white dress and posing like she was Twiggy; all long legs and expressive eyes. It was too hot by lunchtime so we headed out on location: a ruined church. Another photogrpaher had had the same idea, and so three very bored women sat around for an hour whilst Paul and the other photographer debated the finer points of Canon vs Nikon (you'll have to excuse the action shots: I didn't inherit the photographer genes!).

Kim left holding the flowers!

A few well timed throat clearings later, we had a great second shoot, this time with leather jackets for a very blushing bride meets Mick Jagger! Sarah, giving us a perfect amount of attitude for the camera was a star, so all in all a really good day. Keep an eye on the photos coming soon, but for now, here is a sneak peek of one of the finished shots:
